Rick Huffman, age 59, of Hot Springs, died Monday, February 17, 2020.
He was born on May 29, 1960, in Wilmington, Ohio, the son of Charlie Junior Huffman and Ruth Kitchens Huffman. On July 5, 1985, he was married to Carolyn Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Rick was a Baptist in faith. He retired as a manager for Wal-Mart after 20 years of service and he volunteered for the Lake Hamilton Optimist Club. Rick loved his family with all of his heart. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye and they affectionately called him “Grumpy.”
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Huffman of Hot Springs; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Ricky and Bobbi Huffman, Robby Huffman and Matt Huffman, all of Hot Springs; two grandchildren, Drew Huffman and Faith Huffman, both of Hot Springs; nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 21, 2020, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Bro. Matt Cook and Bro. Joe Ishom officiating.
Interment will be Saline Cemetery, near Athens.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday evening.
Pallbearers will be Justin Alexander, Richard Alexander, Derek Alexander, Randy Alexander, Kenny Ford, Cab Sanders, Chris Fikes and Cody Hobby.
Honorary pallbearers will members of the Lake Hamilton Optimist Club, his Wal-Mart family and all of Rick’s nieces and nephews.
