Paul E. Holden, age 64, of Bismarck, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018.
He was born on October 11, 1953, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, the son of John Leslie Holden and Rebecca Frances Link Holden. On August 5, 1989, he married Shirley Ann Kelley. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Holden; and one sister, Shirley Collins.
Paul was of the Orthodox Catholic faith. A United States Air Force veteran, he retired after 35 years as a tech engineer from Alliant Tech Systems in Clearwater, Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Holden of Bismarck; his daughter and son-in-law, Kristina and Ricky Ballard of Bismarck; eight grandchildren, Paul Hobbs, Jr., Jennifer Hobbs, Alayah Micucci, Mason Ballard, Madison Ballard, Shirley Ballard, Jaeny Micucci and Jo Micucci; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Lynn Holden of Zephyrhills, Florida and Larry and Pat Holden of McKeesport, Pennsylvania; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Peg and John Harris of Tampa, Florida, Becky and Dennis Manning of Hudson, Florida and Pat and David Barry of Tampa, Florida; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Father Leonhard Poore San Antonio, Texas and Larry and Robin Poore of New Port Richey, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September, 13, 2018, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Father Leonhard Poore officiating.
Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Air Force.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening.
Pallbearers will be Paul Hobbs, Jr., Mason Ballard, Larry Poore, Ricky Ballard, Jason Carr, Dustin Daley, Gary Williams and Dennis Manning.
Memorials may be made to the Paul Holden Memorial Fund at any Southern Bancorp location.
