Obituary

Beverly Jean Ramsey, 65, of Hot Springs, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 5, 2018 with her family by her side. Beverly was born July 18, 1953 in Dallas, Texas to Fred and Mary Helen Holly.
She attended and graduated from Catholic school in Arlington, Texas and then moved to Hot Springs and earned her nursing degree. She enjoyed taking care of others her entire life.

She was a beloved wife, mom, and nana who loved cooking and making fudge for her grandkids. She was most relaxed sitting on the front porch with her husband watching and feeding the birds. Beverly and her husband were soulmates, and she was absolutely the love of his life. She had an unwavering faith in God and instilled that same faith in her family.

Beverly is preceded in death by her mother Mary Helen Holly, her father Ira Fred Holly Jr and her brother Ira Fred Holly III.

She leaves behind her loving husband Jim Ramsey; her daughter and son in law, Alicia and Greg Dobyns, along with their children Taylor Richardson, Makenna Richardson, Kaylee Dobyns, Jessi Dobyns and Weston Dobyns; stepson and daughter in law, Jonah And Valerie Ramsey along with their children Aspen and Canyon; and stepson and daughter-in-law, Justin and Courtney Ramsey and their son Finley.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs, Father Michael Millard officiating.

Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Father Michael Millard, Dr. Pawah, Dr. Sulemon and the amazing ICU staff at CHI St. Vincent.

“Mom, you have given so much and asked for so little in return. Thank you for always being there for your family, for teaching us, listening to us, helping and forgiving us, loving us, and always paving the way for us. Most of all, thank you for being such an incredible influence and role model to your girls. We will work hard to reach the standard you set. Farewell sweet momma. You were simply magnificent.”
